Introduction

A small-group tasting experience designed to explore Japan’s culture and landscapes through craft gin.
This is not just about drinking — it’s about feeling and understanding.
Through six different gins, you’ll discover the botanicals, the makers’ philosophy, and the sense of place behind each bottle.

What’s Included

  • Tasting of six gins: five from Japan and one from abroad

  • English guidance about the distillers, botanicals, and regions

Your Guides

This experience is led by two key figures in Japan’s craft gin scene.

Koba

Founder of ShoGin.jp, a media platform dedicated to Japanese craft gin culture.
Organizer of the city-wide event Osaka Gin Rally, and currently preparing to open the Uda Distillery in Nara.
He explores how gin can express “place, people, and aroma.”

Nobu

One of Japan’s foremost craft gin collectors and enthusiasts.
He owns over 500 bottles of gin at home and keeps detailed tasting notes every day.

Together, they bring two perspectives — the creator and the connoisseur —
revealing the quiet depth and character of Japanese gin.

  • Location: Tennoji, Osaka (partner bar)
  • Time: 19:00–21:00 (approx. 2 hours)
  • Language: English only
  • Group Size: 2–6 participants (2–3 for this test session)
  • Fee: Free for this one-time test session (regularly ¥8,000)
  • Photo Agreement: Required (Airbnb and promotional use)

Who Can Join:
English-speaking foreign residents currently living in Japan (2–3 participants).

Fee: Free for this session only (regular price ¥8,000).

What You’ll Do:

  • Taste 6 gins (5 Japanese + 1 from abroad)

  • Learn about distillers and botanicals in English

  • Enjoy one cocktail made with your favorite gin

  • Receive a ShoGin.jp coaster as a gift

Photo participation: Required — images will be used for Airbnb listing and PR materials.
(We will explain the scope and request written consent before the session.)

Purpose of This Session:

  • Capture photos and short videos for Airbnb and web use

  • Test the English flow and logistics of the experience

  • Collect brief spoken feedback (no written reviews)

Reviews: Not required — this is an internal trial session.
