The reason I was able to start my business in Uda is because of the connections I have made with many people.
Among them, one of the most prominent figures is Mr. Fujimoto, who works at Uda City Hall.
I first met Fujimoto when I was trying out various trial relocations, not just in Uda City but also in neighboring municipalities. While working as a city hall employee providing daily consultations to people hoping to relocate, he also had another role as an amateur photographer capturing the local scenery.
In launching the official &ground website, we have used a number of photographs from Fujimoto's work that show the forests and townscapes of Uda. The way he supports relocation at the local government level while at the same time promoting the charms of Uda through his camera is the very embodiment of our philosophy of "connecting people with people, and land with people."
Of course, it wasn't just Mr. Fujimoto who helped us get to this point; we also had the support of people from the city hall and the local community. Each of these connections has built up to bring us to this current challenge.
