The Osaka Gin Rally was conceived at the beginning of July with the aim of minimizing the burden on participating stores and making it easy for participants to take part.
The burden on the store is as follows:
1. Displaying posters or stand POPs,
2. And speak to the customers who come.
Those were the only two points.
As an action for participants, they can post on Stories @ginrally.jp Send a photo with a bottle of gin when mentioning someone,
Or, when posting a photo, add the hashtag "Osaka Gin Rally." Those were the only two things.
Once things started, we were able to create a lot of excitement thanks to the 42 participating stores and the participants who visited many stores and posted their reviews. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude once again. Thank you very much.
What I learned from hosting the event
On the other hand, and this is something I realized after holding the event, there were more people than I expected who had their Instagram accounts set to private, who posted stories while keeping their accounts private, or who didn't know how to post stories in the first place.
Another new discovery was that, apart from those who enjoy rallies, there are many people who enjoy gin in a variety of ways, such as enjoying it at specific stores.
I have personally visited all 42 stores and enjoyed gin in one form or another. From that perspective, next time I would like to hold the event in February next year on a larger scale and with more substantial content, not only reflecting the achievements and areas for improvement from this year's event, but also taking into account what I learned from this Gin Rally and the opinions of many people who suggested "this would make it even more exciting."
Looking forward to next time
Next time, we plan to expand the area beyond Osaka to Kyoto and Hyogo (mainly Kobe), and hold the event on a three-prefecture scale. Preparations have already begun, but this project itself would not be possible without the cooperation of all the participating stores and the participation of everyone who takes part in the rally.
