&ground is a name that combines " &" (and) and " ground ."
We connect people with the land, and with each other, and foster culture together with our friends. We stand here and grow together. That is the feeling we have instilled in our name.
Gin wasn't just a drink to me; it was a catalyst for restarting my life.
My first encounter with gin was at a bar in Shibuya, Tokyo, where I worked as a student. I enjoyed the time I spent "standing at the bar in Shibuya" while making gin and tonics behind the counter. At the time, I didn't fully understand the depth of its flavor, but that was my first encounter with gin.
After I started working, I started frequenting bars in Higashi-Shinsaibashi, Osaka, and my after-work drink was always a gin and tonic. Gin gradually became an indispensable part of my life.
Then , in 2015 , while I was stationed in Shanghai, a friend recommended Monkey to me. 47. I was so impressed by its unique character and depth that I became keenly aware that gin is more than just a cocktail base.
Since 2016 , craft gin distilleries have been opening one after another all over Japan, and brands carrying the stories of the land and its people have been spreading. Watching this trend, I myself became more and more determined to take on the challenge with gin.
However, &ground 's goal is not just to produce and sell gin.
A gin and spicy food pairing event, the Osaka Gin Rally held at 40 stores, and a media outlet promoting craft spirits, Sh oGin.jp Through these activities, we hope to connect gin makers, drinkers, and local communities, and to help spread the word about gin as a culture of enjoyment.
As a businessman and an office worker, I have experience starting businesses overseas from scratch. Because I had no prior experience with alcohol brewing, I am not just focusing on production, but also on strategically cultivating culture. & ground This is our differentiation and strength.

Located in the forest of Uda, next to a babbling brook, this small distillery produces a "gin with a lingering aftertaste" from the clear water and tranquility unique to this land.
